All it takes is a quick call to set the strategy for our session, and then we’re ready to make magic on the day (and don’t worry, I’ll advise on locations, outfits and poses too – all the thinking is done for you).

It’s time to work out the goal of the shoot and plan shot ideas, outfits and locations that fit the brief. Not sure what you need? By the end of this session, you will have a roadmap for capturing your brand story.

Because we’ve done the pre-planning, shoot day runs smoothly. I move through the run sheet and seize opportunities for shots as they arise (these spontaneous images are often some of the best shots). If you’re having headshots taken, there’s plenty of time to get comfortable in front of the camera… promise you’ll never feel rushed.

This takes around 2-3 weeks, but you get a sneak peek straight away! Before I edit your photos, you select the ones you feel are the best representation of you and your brand. This ensures you love every image in your final gallery.

I can guide you as much as you need. Some clients come to me with a really clear vision and simply need my input on how to bring it to life, while others have no idea what shots they want to create. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, I will work with you to create a set of images that align with your marketing goals. You can pick my brain about anything from locations to what props to bring along.
On the day, I’ll guide you on how to stand and pose, so you look natural and confident in front of the camera. I’ll also fix your hair and straighten your clothes as we go, and tell you if there’s any lippy on your teeth – all of the thinking is done for you!
Not at all! In fact, most people I work with fall into this category. So if you struggle with photos, know that this is a safe, judgement-free space. I will make you feel comfortable by chatting and joking with you, and help you get into poses that don’t look staged or unnatural. These are just some of the tricks I have up my sleeve to make sure the ‘real you’ comes across on camera.
The best place to start is by choosing colours that complement your brand. Then consider what kind of personality you want the shoot to have and choose outfits accordingly. You can text me images of options ahead of the day and ask for advice on dressing for your figure – I am happy to help!
I recommend having this done, as you will feel far more confident in front of the camera. A makeup artist has so many tricks up their sleeve to open up your eyes and make sure you don’t look shiny – plus the pampering is a nice thing to do for yourself! Keep in mind that makeup artists can still create natural looks, so don’t worry that you’ll appear overdone.
For headshot sessions, I have a studio at Yeronga that has a variety of backdrops we can use depending on the personality of the shoot.
For branding sessions, the location depends on what you want to achieve. I can shoot on-site at your business premises or propose a location that matches the look and feel of your brand. From well styled Airbnbs to studios, there are so many interesting locations we can hire and I’ll help you find the perfect spot.
This really depends on how many images you need. Generally speaking, I can accommodate a small team or 1–2 people in a standard branding session, but large teams usually require a full branding session. If you aren’t sure what you need, send me an enquiry and I can do a custom package for you.
